Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long is the lease?

A: We usually start with a one year lease which can be renewable for longer periods. We're open to longer leases, as well.

Q: What is the utilities fee?

A: We have a flat fee for utilities. Please contact us for details. Utilities fee covers gas, water, electricity, sewage fee, trash collection, recycling and yard care.

Q: What is the difference between the Dolphin Unit and Starfish Unit?

A: Both are completely furnished designer apartments, filled with artwork.
The Dolphin and Starfish Units both have a large chef's kitchen, gas stove and oven, dishwasher, separate kitchen and livingroom/diningroom areas.

The Starfish Unit is smaller than the Dolphin Unit and features a private fenced yard, a large (8 foot long) breakfast bar, a jacuzzi bathtub, a large eat-in kitchen and small bedroom and one parking space. (Sometimes arrangements can be made for another space.)

The Dolphin Unit is somewhat larger than the starfish unit, features a larger bedroom, one parking space, and has a large covered lanai, perfect for your hammock or outdoor dining. Sometimes, arrangements can sometimes be made for another parking space.

Q: Is there a move-out cleaning charge?

A: Yes, in order to guarantee that each renter receives a sparkling clean apartment, we have the apartment professionally cleaned when someone moves out. The more cleaning you do prior to move-out, the less time it will take our cleaner to finish.

Q: What's important to us?

A: Peace and quiet and absolutely no smoking. This is a place of tranquility, a retreat. So we're looking for folks who want a quiet and peaceful place. If you're in a partying phase, this probably isn't a good match.  It's a great place if you like sailing, kayaking, snorkelling or hiking. There's plenty of room for your sports gear on the property and we're always happy to share insider kama`aina tips on great kayaking, sailing, snorkelling and hiking spots.
